I was approached by Score Golf Magazine to provide three instructional articles for the 2017 golf season. This one was all about building confidence to swing your driver with freedom. This was a fun experience and I love how the article and imagery worked out.

Mission Golf and Country Club and Pender Harbour Golf Course are two great examples of community minded nine-hole courses which are an important part of their local community. Both courses share a dedicated ownership, committed staff and provide enjoyable golf, at a great price, plus are unique in design and experience.

Ask any golfer what their favourite muni might be and you will get a wide array of responses. Depending where the golfer is located, this could mean the simple yet rugged track located in many of Canada's small town's. The kind of place your budding junior golfer heads to early in the morning, plays a quick 18, wolfs down the customary hot dog before the afternoon replay.

For over twenty years, Morgan Creek Golf Course continues to impress and has carved out its place as one of premier public golf courses located in the Lower Mainland. Located in South Surrey, not far from Highway 99 and a little North of the Canada-US border, Morgan Creek is easily accessible, thoroughly enjoyable and well worth the drive.  

Another gem of a course not to be missed in BC's Fraser Valley is the oh-so-friendly Chilliwack Golf Club. Located between the cities of Abbotsford and Chilliwack, it is an easy 45 minutes drive southeast of Vancouver. The course is a pleasure to play, always in top notch condition and features stunning views of the surrounding Cascade and Coastal mountains.

Every August a few of us Vancouver-based golf pros fly up to Fort St. John, in Northern B.C. to play in the annual Lake Point Charity Pro-Am. It is a great event, where the local organizers go out of their way to welcome the professionals. In addition to the hospitality, one of the real reasons so many of us make the trip north is the calibre of and enjoyment we get playing the Lake Point G&CC.
