After many months of thinking about, my parents have put the family farm up for sale. Its a beautiful 95 acre property in Eastern Ontario on the side of the Oak Ridge’s moraine.
Over the years, I’ve messed around with different routings, concepts and ideas for golf holes. If I lived in Ontario, I might have acted on this by now but since I am based in BC, with a young family, its really just been ideas floating around in the back of mind.
The property was listed today, and so I thought I’d share one of the routing’s. This is a nine hole loop, which can play both directions, with a starting point in the middle of the property. It is a par-36 one way, and a par-35 the other. With 95 acres, there is lots of flexibility, and potentially even adjacent land.
Incidentally, the property is currently zoned for golf, has great topography, drains well, with many natural springs, and an abundance of sandy soils up top, not to mention some great views and a central location.
Have fun dreaming, its a really neat spot and would be great for golf :)
